ABOUT
THE TEAM
Founded in 2021, Taiwan Tech Racing is an student engineering team that puts its heart into building formula race car. Taiwan Tech Racing, based across National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Taiwan, brings together dedicated and determined students who design, manufacture, learn and run the race car. “Stand in the steadfast, strive for excellence.” is the spirit of our team. We compete in FSAE, one of the world’s largest student engineering competition, aiming to reach the pinnacle of achievements.

Who we are
1. Students
The biggest advantage is our student diversity. Students from vocation school and high school provide different skills to the team. Also, the international students play important roles in our team.
2. Manual Ability
We are good at hand-making which can significantly cost down on the processing.
3. Professions, Resilience and Perseverance
With strong resilience and perseverance, experiences are gained everyday to make ourselves better in professions.

3. Simulation
The bodywork department is responsible for the following tasks:
First , it involves designing, validating and manufacturing the structure that supports the components.
Second , research in aerodynamics and monocoque design is conducted through the method of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to enhance the performance of the aerodynamics components.
Third , the simulation group puts its effort in the strength and rigidty simulations to optimize weight while perserving the performance. Additionally, Topology optimization is implemented on the vehicle components as well.

FSAE-Australia
Our first offical FSAE competition was FSAE-Australia. We faced some problems during the process of static inspection. However, we stuck to the end, and Leopard 01 passed the inspection and caught up on the endurance race as well. The Harry Watson Award was a great honor and excitation. The team learned a lot during these days in Australia through communication, visits , and making friends. It was an unforgettable experience not only for the team but also for the whole crew.
